It is foreseen to build 6,8 million square meters of dwelling-places (on this territory it is possible to set 760 thousand people), though market realities show, that about 4-4,5 mln square meters will be built. By this general plan we want to make residence standards in town such, that for 1 person there will be 22 square meters, now it is 17,6 square meters, and in an ideal - 30. Besides building of the easy underground passage, taking away of railway line which lies through a city in north is foreseen in the future".

The deputies of Lviv city council during made decision about privatization of apartments in sights of cultural legacy in Lviv, taking in no account the remark of Lviv public prosecutor Andrey Palyukha and the chief of legal department of Lviv city council Galina Payonkevich.
As it was explained by Volodymyr Kvurt, the secretary of Lviv city council, this decision is based on the Law of Ukraine "Concerning temporal prohibition of sights of cultural legacy privatization" accepted in 2004. Cabinet during 6 months should have given for consideration of Supreme Rada of Ukraine a project of law "Concerning sights of cultural legacy list of prohibited objects for privatization".
"It is not done till now, and this Law touches Lviv exactly, as here are concentrated most sights of architecture in Ukraine. 40% of apartments in historical part of city are not privatized yet. People can do nothing with these apartments - neither to sell nor pass in an inheritance. That is why deputies made proper decision, the question is not about privatization of a house, but only about privatization of apartments", - Volodymyr Kvurt added.
